Kailh Calligraphy R2 Linear Switch

What's new about R2:

1. Improved housing mold to make the installation process much easier than R1

2. Improved factory lubing. More precisely applied

About The Calligraphy Switch:

The Calligraphy switch is definitely one of the most unique switches of 2025. Kailh went above and beyond, creating customized stem and housing molds just for the MF and LCP materials used to manufacture this switch.

The results are nice. Calligraphy switches have a clean, loud, full, and clacky sound profile. These switches don't have any ticking or spring noise, not even a bit. Factory lubing is on point which makes them super smooth. Furthermore, they come with a satisfying scratchy and grainy feeling. They probably have the best non-Cherry scratch there is. Even better than Kailh BCP which was known for having the pleasing scratchy feeling.

Adam ★★★★★

The factory lubing on these R2 switches is noticeably more consistent than the first batch, with zero scratchiness right out of the box. The improved housing mold also made them snap into my hotswap board with zero fuss. Definitely the smoothest linear I've tried under $0.50 a switch.

Michael Q. ★★★★★

Installing these R2 switches was noticeably smoother than the first batch — the mold improvement really works. The factory lubing is consistent and precise, making them feel buttery right out of the box.

Owen ★★★★★

The factory lubing on these R2 switches is noticeably more precise than my older batch, and they slide into the plate without any wobble or binding. Typing feels consistently smooth with a nice, gentle bottom-out sound.
